The Mingun Pahtodawgyi is an incomplete stupa in Minguan, near Mandalay in Sagaing Division. It was said to have left intentionally unfinished by King Bodawpaya in 1790. The construction, using prisoners of wars, was taking a toll on the state and prophesy was created to discourage the king from completing the construction.
