Our eight day tour of most unique sites is carefully crafted to experience the best Myanmar have to offer. Exploring all the cultural highlights, you will discover the diverse arts and sceneries from many eras. You will get to explore the Ancient capitals of Myanmar, Amarapura and Mandalay, the 11th century heritage site of Bagan, a visit to the Pindaya cave, the quaint ethnic villages including Padaung who are famous for their copper neck rings, and the floating village in Innlay Lake; this package will leave you with many memories of most exquisite sites the country has to offer.

DISCOVER MYANMAR (8 Days/ 7 Nights)

Day-1: Yangon Arrival

Upon arrival at the Yangon International Airport, after clearing immigration and customs, meet with your guide with a welcome signboard and transfer for about 30 minutes to the hotel for check in.

You will first enjoy the city circular train ride, then visit Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, a 70-metre reclining Buddha statue, the National Museum – with extensive collection of ancient artifacts, art works and historic memorabilia on display in 14 halls in a splendid five-storey building. After a short-break, you will visit the Great Shwedagon Pagoda, the most prominent monument with its glittering gold stupa. At the pagoda, we observe local pilgrims and monks offering their devotions and enjoy the sunset view at the Shwedagon pagoda.

Day-2: Yangon - Mandalay (Morning flight 07:30 – 08:55)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for Mandalay. Upon arrival, excursion to Amarapura, 11km from Mandalay to visit Mahagandayon Monastery where more than a thousand monks live and study the Buddha scripture. If time permits, you will have the opportunity to observe the monks having their last meal of the day in total silence.

In the afternoon, back to Mandalay to visit major attractions, starting with Mahamuni Pagoda inside of which the bronze Buddha statue is all gilded with gold, yet monks and pilgrims are still applying gold layers every day. Next, we will visit Golden Palace Monastery, which is famous for its intricate woodcarvings. Continue our trip to the world-known Kuthodaw Pagoda, holding the world's largest book carved Buddhism scriptures on 729 marble slabs.

Our last stop will be the Mandalay Hill. Atop the hill, Buddha once prophesied that a grand city, that is Mandalay of present day, would rise in the 2400th year of his faith. Taking in a panoramic view of the whole city, you might find yes sometimes prophecy does come true.

Day-3: Mandalay – Mingun - Bagan (Evening flight 16:40 – 17:10)

After breakfast, there will be morning excursion to Mingun which is 11km up-river from Mandalay and cross Ayeyarwaddy River by one hour boat ride. The visit around Mingun include well-known Mingun Bell with 90 tons in weight being the largest ringing bell in the world, unfinished huge Mingun Pagoda, Settawya Pagoda and Hsinbyume Pagoda. Then, return to Mandalay and transfer to the airport to take the flight for Bagan. Arrived at Bagan, transfer to the hotel and direct check in to the hotel.

Day-4: Bagan sightseeing

After breakfast, a full day sightseeing tour of Bagan with a diverse selection of the most important pagodas and temples, such as Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine; the Wetkyiin Wetkyiin Gu Byauk Gyi Temple; the elegant Htilominlo Temple, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes; the Ananda Temple, with four huge standing Buddha images; and Ananda Okkyaung, a small red brick monastery located inside Ananda compound which was built in 1137 A.D. Continue to famous Dhammayangyi Temple and Sula Mani Temples. After lunch, recharge with a short-rest at the hotel and in the afternoon, a visit to Myinkaba, two kilometres south of Bagan. This village is well known for its lacquerware workshops and has also a number of interesting temples, such as Nanphaya Temple, which is said to have once been the residence of King Manuha. Then, continue on to Myinkaba Gu Byauk Gyi Temple with amazing frescoes inside, the site is said to be where the only cave pagoda in the neighbourhood once stood. Enjoy your soothing sunset at Shwesandaw Pagoda.

Day-5: Bagan – Heho – Pindaya – Inle Lake (Morning flight 07:50 – 08:20)

After breakfast, there will be morning transfer to the airport for a flight to Heho. Arrival at Heho airport, then a drive to Pindaya which is noted for its extensive limestone caves and picturesque lake. We will be passing through the Pa-O and Danu villages of Pwehla, endless fields of dry cultivated mountain rice and potato. You will find thousands of Buddha image placed there by pilgrimages over many centuries at the Pindaya cave.

In Pindaya, sightseeing, shopping and opportunity to observe paper making and umbrella making at the home cottage workshops. After that, we proceed to Nyaung Shwe. On the way, you will see women working in the fields and the breath-taking views of Shan state reminiscent of Bordeaux countryside. Not surprising that there is now wine making industry developing in the area. When we arrive at Nyaung Shwe, there will be a short sightseeing in downtown area, then off to the jetty for a special chatter boat to your floating hotel in Inlay Lake. Arrive to hotel in the evening and take a rest.

Day-6: Inle Lake – Indein Sightseeing

After breakfast at hotel, we begin a full day of sightseeing by chartered boat with a visit to an Inle village bustling with its 5 day rotation market, a typical colourful floating market. We will then continue to the village of Heya Ywama, Padaung tribes (long-neck women) silk weaving village; then, on the way to Phaung-daw-Oo pagoda, you will observe the unique and famous leg-rowing fisher men and taxis, floating garden and unique fishing method. After lunch, we continue on with a visit to Inpawkhon village, own fish farm, fisherman net and cheroot making at Pauk Par village and an excursion to Indein Village is a great way to end the day -- hidden in the bushes, the ruin pagodas built during Bagan period will give you flash-back of what ancient Myanmar days must have been like.

Day-7: Heho –Yangon (Morning flight 09:15 – 10:25)

After breakfast, transfer to Heho airport for your flight back to Yangon. On arrival, we will pay a visit to Sule Pagoda which dates back to over 2000 years. You will then enjoy a walk around Maha- bandoola Park to explore the colonial courthouse and city hall. If we have time, shopping at Bogyoke Aung San Market - best known for its colonial architecture, inner cobblestone streets and wide selection of souvenirs. In the evening, we will visit the Indiantown and lively night-market in Chinatown.

Day-8: Yangon Departure

After breakfast, enjoy your last day of Myanmar at your own leisure and we will pick up from your hotel for airport transfer for your departure flight. Happy flight home!    Meals: Breakfast
